Jack Kilby Science and Technology Quiz 2008

The Jack Kilby Science and Technology Quiz 2008 organized by Texas Instruments was held on the 18th of October, a Saturday. 4 teams from our school participated and there were a total of approximately 260 teams participating from numerous schools, in the Air Force Auditorium, Subroto Park. One team from our school qualified for the regional finals and also became the regional winners. The team consisted of:
- Aditya Grover – X-H
- Vishesh Kumar – X-H
They have now been selected to participate in the National Finals to be held on the 16th of November, in Bangalore.

Also, thanks a lot for the encouragements, folks. We will surely try to win the nationals too!:D

so far we are not aware of “different strokes” so most probably we won’t be participating

we are trying to compile the questions most of them were picture questions with some textual hints
For eg: In the prelims they showed two pictures: one was a group of scientists and the other showed a lady wearing a sari and dark glasses in the center and talking to two other people in a place covered with sand. we had to connect the two pictures. Answer was Pokhram where India’s first nuclear tests was conducted.

different strokes is the computer symposium at Jaspal Kaur Public School. i was hoping your school will be participating. its on 5th november. we sent you an invite but we didnt get any reply. could you ask your teachers bout it? i am the guy who is making the quiz btw.
